Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy provides a safe and supportive environment for adults, adolescents and children to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This therapeutic approach helps individuals address personal challenges, improve emotional well-being, and develop effective coping strategies. For children, I often incorporate play-based methods, creative and interactive techniques that cater to their developmental stage, enabling them to express themselves and work through their emotions. I prioritize a personalized process that fosters growth, resilience, and self-awareness for everyone I work with.

Perinatal Mental Health

I have received specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International and am dedicated to offering compassionate support for individuals navigating the emotional challenges of pregnancy and postpartum. Recognizing that this transformative period can bring feelings of anxiety, depression, and overwhelming stress, I am committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment for parents. My goal is to equip you with the tools and resources needed to prioritize your mental well-being, fostering resilience as you navigate the joys and challenges of parenthood. Whether you are pregnant, recently postpartum, or experiencing difficulties with infertility or loss, my comprehensive approach ensures personalized care that respects and honors your unique journey.

Family Therapy

I am committed to fostering the social and emotional growth of your child, which happens within their relationships with caregivers. This is why I emphasize family-focused care in my practice.

Parenting a child with significant behaviors or a sensitive nervous system can be overwhelming, often leading to feelings of isolation and stress. You are not alone in this journey. As both a therapist and a parent, I am passionate about creating safe spaces for caregivers. Together, we can "keep it real" and explore both strengths and challenges, including those messy moments that arise in everyday life.

I focus on cultivating a non-judgmental and supportive environment to enhance family dynamics. Sessions may involve working with a child and their caregiver(s) together, coaching parents to better understand behaviors, or concentrating solely on the caregiver(s) to address concerns, develop skills, enhance communication, and strengthen the parent-child relationship. Our ultimate goal is to foster greater understanding, connection and felt safety within the family.

Parenting Groups and Classes

Parenting groups and classes can be a valuable resource for parents seeking new insights and tools to enhance their parenting strategies. Additionally these tools can foster a sense of community among parents who are dealing with similar challenges.

I have extensive training in the following parenting curriculums: Circle of Security, Reflective Parenting and Raising Kids with Big Baffling Behaviors: a parent course created by Robyn Gobbel. Check out Group and Class offerings to learn more.

Reflective Supervision and Consultation

For the past 7 years, I have received specialized training in Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health and Reflective Supervision, with extensive experience working with individuals and facilitating groups for professionals who work with infants, young children, and their families. I am passionate about fostering environments that promote personal growth, self-reflection, and collaborative learning. I am endorsed as an Infant Mental Health Specialist and Reflective Supervisor (IMH-E®) through the New York State Association of Infant Mental Health.
